If you are using Distributed Disk Services in a Windows cluster environment, the following must be taken into consideration:

  • No command-line switches are required when installing DDS onto a Windows cluster.

  • When updating encryption, you must update the encryption key for each node in the cluster.

  • When used with Windows clusters, DDS runs as a virtual clustered service, so no additional configuration entries are needed for each individual node, only the Client Access Name.
