When upgrading DDS from a version prior to 2.0.1-b1, to version 2.0.1-b1 or higher, you must create an encryption key for DDS to use after the upgrade has been performed. You must also create a key for new installations.
To create an encryption key, follow the instructions on validating, updating, or rotating the encryption key in the Configuration chapter of the Distributed Disk Services manual.
