Error starting listener or Error starting listener threads errors are caused by a low-level socket error that could mean another application is using the same socket or port.
The following information is added to the log file if DDSis started and the port is busy or not available:
***ERROR*** 01/10/07 08:49:05 DDS Dialog, StartORB, Error starting listener: Error [10048] binding listening socket to port 2185
If the thread pool is increased, the log file displays a message similar to this:
***MESSAGE*** 01/09/07 14:04:05 Client=10.20.6.1, Thread=328, Class=_____ORB::SocketReadJob, ProcessBuffer,ThreadPool, Increased threads in pool from 10 to 11.
If a long file I/O is encountered, the log file displays a message similar to this:
***MESSAGE*** 01/09/07 16:11:38 Client=10.20.6.252, Thread=3704, Class=_____ORB::SocketReadJob, ProcessBuffer, Processing IO request [FileService:stat] may have taken too long: 21374 ticks
