Users with sufficient privileges can email DocPop links directly from the Web Client without requiring the DocPop URL Creator.

This feature is available from the following Web Client locations:

  • The Send To | Create DocPop Link option is available from the Web Client's Document Search Results list.

  • The Send To | Create DocPop Link and Send To | Create DocPop Link to Page options are available from the document viewer for image and text documents.

Note:

DocPop links created this way use the document number query type (docid).

To enable this functionality, ensure the following requirements are met:

  1. The Hyland.Web.DocPop datasource setting must be configured in the Web Server's Web.config file. The remaining DocPop settings should be configured appropriately for your solution.
  2. Users who need to email links must be granted the Create Integration Hyperlink privilege in OnBase Configuration.
  3. Only one document at a time can be selected in the Document Search Results list. The Create DocPop Link option is unavailable from the Document Search Results list if multiple documents are selected.
    Note:

Emailing a DocPop link does not guarantee the recipient will have access to the linked document. Access is governed by the privileges of the user account used to log on to DocPop.
