Additional Document Package Template options are available. The options described in the following section determine the level at which users can interact with the Document Package creation process.

To configure template options:

  1. From the Document Package Configuration dialog box, select the appropriate Document Package template.
  2. Click Options.

    The Package Template Options dialog is displayed.

  3. Select from the following options:

    Option

    Description

    Display Package Content Selection Window

    Select to allow users to view the Document Package before generating it.

    When this option is not selected, the package is automatically generated.

    Allow users to change keyword values during package creation

    Select to allow users to edit Keyword Type values for the Document Package.

    Allow users to reorder pages

    Select to allow users to reorder pages of the Document Package.

    Allow users to reorder documents

    Select to allow users to reorder documents contained within the Document Package.

    Allow Document Composition Templates to be composed interactively

    Select to allow users to work with composed documents before they are added to the package, depending on Document Composition template configuration.

    Note:

    The Document Composition license is required to use this option.

    Disable the use of Standard Retrieval when adding documents to the package

    Select to prevent users from using the standard retrieval interface when adding documents to a package. When this option is enabled, users will only be able to add documents retrieved from a custom query.

    Allow Portfolio Relation content to be restricted with a date range

    Select to allow users to specify a date range to limit the documents added to the package documents that fall within the specified date range.

    Use the available drop-down list to select the Keyword Type to be used to specify the range of dates for this package template.

    Automatically Display the Assembled Package After it Has Been Generated

    Select to automatically display generated packages to users upon completion.

    Note:

    This option cannot be selected when the Always Use Unity Scheduler option is enabled.

    Include Note Text After Documents

    Select to add the text of any notes contained on package documents to the package. Notes are displayed on a separate page following the document they belong to.

    Prevent Duplicate Documents

    Select to prevent users from adding duplicates of included documents to a package. When this option is enabled, only a single copy of each included document will be included in the generated Document Package.

    Never Use Unity Scheduler

    Note:

    This option only impacts Document Package generation that is initiated from within the Unity Client.

    Select to prevent users from generating Document Packages in the background using the Unity Scheduler. When this options is enabled, Document Packages are generated in the Unity Client immediately after clicking Generate Package.

    Always Use Unity Scheduler

    Note:

    This option only impacts Document Package generation that is initiated from within the Unity Client.

    Note:

    This option assumes that a Document Packages Unity Scheduler task has been created and configured for your data source. For information on how to configure the Document Packages Unity Scheduler task, see the Unity Scheduler module reference guide.

    Select to force users to generate Document Packages in the background using the Unity Scheduler. When this option is selected, Document Packages are generated by the Unity Scheduler using schedules configured in the Unity Management Console. See the Unity Scheduler module reference guide for more information.

    Note:

    When this option is selected, Automatically Display the Assembled Package After it Has Been Generated is disabled.

    Allow User To Choose Method of Generation

    Note:

    This option only impacts Document Package generation that is initiated from within the Unity Client.

    Note:

    This option assumes that a Document Packages Unity Scheduler task has been created and configured for your data source. For information on how to configure the Document Packages Unity Scheduler task, see the Unity Scheduler module reference guide.

    Select to allow users to choose between generating Document Packages in the Unity Client immediately or generating Document Packages in the background using the Unity Scheduler. When this option is enabled, both the Generate Package and Generate Package In Background buttons are available in the Package Content Selection dialog box.

  4. Click Save.
