A Document Set is a group of one or more related documents. Document sets can or must, depending on your configuration, appear in the Document Package. Multiple Document Sets can be configured for each Document Package Template.

Note:

At least one Document Set must be configured for a package.

To configure a Document Set:

  1. From the Document Package Configuration dialog box, select the template for which you would like to configure Document Set.
  2. Click Document Sets. The Document Set Configuration Dialog is displayed.
  3. Click Settings. The Document Set Settings dialog is displayed.
  4. Type the name of the Document Set in the Name field.
  5. Select one of the following Content Types from the Content Type drop-down menu:

    Content Type

    Description

    Primary Item

Select to include the primary document the package was generated from in the package itself.

    Document Composition Template

Select to include a composed document based off the primary document. Select a Document Composition Template from the Content drop-down list to be used in Document Packet generation.

    Note:

This option is only available if you are licensed for Document Composition.

Refer to the Document Composition module reference guide or help files for information on configuring Document Composition Templates.

    Note:

When package generation is automated, Document Composition templates that are configured to allow the user to choose the Document Type for Composed Documents at Run Time are not supported.

    Portfolio Relation

Select to apply a portfolio relation to the other Document Sets in the package to determine how the included documents relate to one another.

For more information on portfolio relations, see the Workflow module reference guide.

    Note:

Portfolio relations must be configured to use Documents as the Content Type and Related Content Type to be correctly applied to Document Sets.

    Portfolio Type

Select to apply a portfolio type to the other Document Sets in the Package to determine how the included documents relate to one another. A portfolio type is a group of portfolio relations.

For more information on portfolio types, see the Workflow module reference guide.

    Note:

Portfolio types must be configured to include portfolio relations using Documents as the Content Type and Related Content Type to be correctly applied to Document Sets.

    Table of Contents

Select to include a table of contents in a generated or previewed document package. When this type is selected, the Table of Contents Page Size drop-down list is made available.

    Note:

The Content drop-down list and Number of Copies field are disabled when Table of Contents is selected.

  6. Click Required if the item must appear in the Document Package for generation to occur.
  7. If you are configuring a Portfolio Relation or Portfolio Type Document Set, click Override filtering for Portfolio content if this Document Set should override the Allow Portfolio Relation content to be restricted with a date range option at the Packet Template Options dialog. Use the available drop-down list to select the Keyword Type to be used to specify the range of dates for this Document Set.
  8. If you are configuring a Table of Contents Document Set, use the Table of Contents Page Size drop-down list to set the size at which the table of contents is rendered. The following options are available:

  11. If you have more than one Document Set configured, you can reorder the Document Sets by selecting the Document Set you would like to move and clicking either the Move Up or Move Down button.
