Certain Document Types can be configured to allow Document Package generation. Any available Document Type selected as a Primary Document Type for the packet can be used to initiate generation of that packet.

Primary documents are the source documents from which packages are generated. Information from these documents can be used to populate packet Keyword Type values and package headers and footers. For more information on pulling information from primary documents, see Using Variables in Keyword Values, Headers, and Footers.

To configure which Document Type is used to create the Document Package:

  1. From the Document Package Configuration dialog box, select the template for which you would like to configure Document Types.
  2. Click Primary Document Types. The Package Template Primary Document Types dialog box is displayed.
  3. To filter the list of available Document Types, select the Document Type Group you would like to select Document Types from.
Document Types from multiple Document Type Groups can be selected.
  4. To assign primary Document Types to the package template, select the appropriate Document Types from the Available Document Types column and click Add.
To remove primary Document Types from the package template, select the appropriate Document Types from the Selected Document Types column and click Remove.
  5. Click Close.
