Only documents that belong to supported file types can be included in Document Packages.

File types that can be included in a Document Package are:

  • AFP

  • DJDE

  • Dynamic Document (Statement Composition)

  • Email Message (.eml)

  • Image

  • Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)

  • Microsoft Outlook (.msg)

  • Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx)

  • Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

  • PCL

  • PDF

  • RTF

  • Text

  • Unity Form

Note:

PDF files with password-protected editing restrictions can be added to a Document Package, as long as pages within the PDF are not excluded or reordered. However, PDF files which require a password for viewing cannot be included in a package.

If an unsupported document is included in an auto-generated Document Package, the invalid file is not included in the final package, but it will appear in the Package Content Selection dialog box. If all selected documents are unsupported, the package is not generated.

Documents that are unsupported file types display a caution icon and the following message:

This document's file type is not supported and this document will not appear in the final package.
