Depending on your rights, you can fully re-index a document belonging to a Document Type set up for retention, including changing its Document Type. To re-index a document belonging to a Document Type set up for retention, right-click on an open document or a document within a search results list or Folder document list and select Re-Index or Document Retention | Re-Index.

Note:

When re-indexing documents that belong to a Document Type set up for retention display, This document is managed by Document Retention is displayed on the Re-Index Document dialog box.

Note:

Destroyed documents cannot be re-indexed.
