After a document is destroyed, a Certificate of Destruction is created. A Certificate of Destruction acts as a placeholder for the document and displays information about the document, including Document Properties, Date Destroyed, and Keywords, depending on user permissions. You can also access a limited set of options from the document's right-click menu to view information about the document. If you have rights to view the document's history, you can see that the document was destroyed by Document Retention.
