To install Document Tracking, you must install the Document Tracking Service on the OnBase Application Server.
The Document Tracking Service:

Updates the Keyword Type that is used to track the status of Document Tracking documents (if a Keyword Type is configured).

Updates the compliance status of Document Tracking folders and generates a Document Tracking report.

Prepares and queues any configured email notifications. These notifications are then sent by the Hyland Distribution Service.
The Document Tracking Service can be installed using the Hyland Document Tracking Service installer. For instructions on using the Hyland Document Tracking Service installer, see Service Installer.

Document Tracking Service activity can be monitored using the Diagnostics Console's Database tab. For more information on the Diagnostics Console, see the Diagnostics Service and Diagnostics Console documentation.
