To add a document from the Documents layout, do any of the following:

Drag-and-drop a file from a Windows folder, your Windows desktop, or an Outlook email message attachment on to the name of the Document Type you want to import. For example:
You are prompted to enter a Document Date as described in Browse.

Drag and drop a file from a Windows folder, your Windows desktop, or an Outlook email message attachment on to the name of the folder you want to import. The Unity Client Import layout is displayed. Selecting a Document Type populates any folder keywords.

Select one of the displayed Document Types and click one of the following buttons from the Documents tab's Import ribbon group:

Browse imports the document image from a drive accessible from your workstation. See Browse. |

Scan scans a new document into the Document Tracking folder. See Scan. |

Ad Hoc Import opens the Unity Client Import layout. Depending on your system configuration, you may be able to set an expiration date for the document. For more information on setting an expiration date upon upload, see your system administrator. For more information on the Unity Client Import layout, see the Unity Client module reference guide. |
