You can create new transmission schedules by copying existing schedules. To copy an existing schedule:
- Log in to the Configuration module with a user that has sufficient configuration rights.
- From the Document menu, select Package Transfer | Schedule. The Package Transmission Schedule dialog is displayed.
-
Select the schedule to copy in the Schedule Name list and click Copy. The Schedule Copy dialog box is displayed.
- Click Copy to exactly duplicate the selected job, or select Incremental Copy to create new schedules with a new Start Time defined as configured.
-
If Incremental Copy is selected, the Period and End Time fields are enabled.
-
Period: Defines the Start Time of the new schedules. Each new schedule has a Start Time set as the Start Time of the previous schedule, plus the minutes in the Period.
Note:The Period must be a whole number of minutes between 5 and 999.
For example, if you set the Period to 90 minutes and the schedule you are copying starts at 8:00 a.m., the new schedule will have the Start Time set to 9:30 a.m., or the previous Start Time plus 90 minutes.
-
End Time: Defines the number of copies to create. New schedules are created one at each Period entered until the End Time is reached.
Note:The End Time must be entered using a 12-hour clock with no leading 0 (e.g., 3:30 PM not 03:30 PM or 15:30).
For example, if the schedule being copied has a Start Time of 8:00 AM, and the Incremental Copy is configured with a Period of 30 minutes and an End Time of 11:00 AM, then a new schedule is created for every 30 minutes between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., creating six copies of the schedule with Start Times of 8:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 11:00 a.m.
-
-
Click Copy to create the new schedules. Copies are named with the same name as the copied schedule, with the Start Time appended.
For example, if the schedule you are copying is named Remote Office One with a Start Time of 8:00 AM, and the Incremental Copy Period is set to 60 with an End Time of 11:00 AM, the new schedules are named Remote Office One 09:00, Remote Office One 10:00, and Remote Office One 11:00.
-
To rename a schedule, double click it in the Schedule list. The Rename Schedule dialog is displayed.
- Update or replace the name in the New Name field, then click Save.
