Renditions are copies of a document generated in a different file format than the original document. An example of a rendition is a text document created using OCR software to scan an image document.
For Document Types that Allow Multiple Renditions, renditions of existing documents can be created when:
-
The document is generated in different file format (e.g., creating a text OCR document from a scanned image document).
-
A document is imported into OnBase with the same Keyword Values as an existing document that has a different file format.
Note:
EDM Services is not required for creating and using document renditions.
Note:
The most recent revision of a document is used when creating a rendition of a revisable document.
