You can customize the behavior of the Unity Client when saving changes to documents by configuring revision control options.
To configure revision control options:
- Click the Application button and select User Options.
- The User Options dialog box is displayed.
- Select Revision Control.

Select from the following options:
Revision Control Option
Action When Selected
Prompt me to check out documents when I save a document that is not checked out
You are prompted to check out a document when you save a document that is not checked out.
This option only applies to documents of a file type which can be saved locally. Supported file types include:

MS Excel Spreadsheet

MS PowerPoint Presentation

MS Word Document
-
MS Outlook Message
-
Lotus Notes Document
-
Adobe PDF
Prompt me to check in documents when I save a document that is checked out
You are prompted to check in a document when you save a document that is checked out.
