You can configure the default selection for several options that are configured in the system. To configure system defaults, follow these steps:

  1. On the Home tab, click Properties. The Properties dialogue is displayed.
  2. Select Message Broker.
The following defaults can be set:

    Maintenance settings

    Description

Monitor completed messages for archival every _ Minutes

This option controls how often the Application Server polls completed messages for archival. During each polling session, any messages that meet the configured criteria for archival are archived.

Monitor archived messages for deletion every _ Minutes

This option controls how often the Application Server polls archived messages for deletion. During each polling session, any messages that meet the configured criteria for deletion are deleted from the database.

Monitor send queue for issues every _ Minutes

This option controls how often the send queue is polled to detect issues. This value cannot be higher than 60. A fault is generated if any of the configured Send Queue Monitoring Options result in an error. Issues are detected based on the Send Queue Monitor Options on the Message Project's Error Handling tab. If an issue is detected, a fault is recorded in the database which then can be routed to a System Administrator for handling.

Purge general faults after _ Days

This option controls how often the faults generated by the Send Queue Monitoring Options are purged. Faults are automatically purged once they are older than the configured number of days.
