Description

A

You can use the Message Type Filter drop-down list to filter the messages being displayed in the Message Broker Dashboard by Message Type. Select a Message Type from this drop-down list to only display messages of that Message Type in the Message Broker Dashboard.

B

The Queue menu displays a list of queues that can contain Message Broker messages, separated by category. Expand a category by clicking the carat icon next to the category to display the list of queues available under that category. The name of the categories and queues also display the number of messages within that queue or category.

Click on the name of a queue to open that queue within the Message Broker Dashboard. For more information on viewing messages within a queue, see Viewing Messages in Queues.

C

The Dashboard Overview displays a basic summary of the number of messages contained within Message Broker queues.

Tip:

You can sort the order the queues are displayed in by clicking on the Status or Count headers. When clicked, the queues are sorted alphabetically by status or numerically by queue count.

There are multiple queues available for monitoring. The queues available for monitoring are:

Unsent Queues

Description

UnSent

Messages enter this queue when they have passed the configured timeout setting for a subscriber to attempt to retrieve a message without any such attempt taking place.

In Progress Queues

Description

InProgress

Messages enter this queue when they are in progress (i.e., is in the process of being sent to the LOB system).

Completed Queues

Description

PendingCompletion

Messages enter this queue when they are pending completion, either because OnBase has not yet sent the message, or because OnBase has not yet retrieved a response from the LOB system.

Completed

Messages enter this queue when they are completed (i.e., the LOB system received the dequeued message and processed it successfully).

Errors Queues

Description

RetrySend

Messages enter this queue when OnBase is attempting to retry sending the message.

FailedSend

Messages enter this queue when they fail to send properly. This status indicates that the LOB system received the dequeued message but was unable to process it due to an error that is not related to the message data. For example, this could occur if there is a bug in the LOB system's messaging code that renders the LOB system unable to correctly process the message.

FailedData

Messages enter this queue when the LOB system received the dequeued messages but is unable to process them due to a data type error. For example, this could occur if the LOB system expects a date value in a particular field but is instead presented with a string value.

ErrorProcessingFailure

Messages enter this queue when an error occurs when mapping message elements to OnBase objects during Workflow processing.

For example: if a Workflow rule instance is configured to perform mapping, processing can fail if Workflow is configured to take an integer value from the message and map it to a Date & Time keyword type on the document.

Maintenance Queues

Description

Undefined

Messages enter this queue when they have an undefined status. This typically occurs if an unexpected error occurs. Contact your first line of support for assistance if messages are entering this queue.

Cancelled

Messages enter this queue when they have been cancelled (such as through the Message Broker Dashboard interface).

PendingDelete

Messages enter this queue when they are pending deletion by OnBase, per the configured Delete Message Content options of your Message Broker configuration.

Deleted

Messages enter this queue when they have been deleted from OnBase.

PendingPurge

Messages enter this queue when they are pending purge by OnBase, per the configured Purge Record options of your Message Broker configuration.
