Note the following when deleting a message item type:

If a message item type has been published to a web service using Web Services Publishing, you must first delete the web service before you can delete the message item type.

If there are active message items still in Workflow processing, you cannot delete that message item type until processing is complete and the message items are archived.
To delete a message item type:
- Expand the HIS Workflow XML Messaging node in the Integration Services tab of the Repositories pane by clicking the arrow next to the node. Message item types are grouped by category.
- Expand the appropriate category group and select the message item type you want to edit.
- Right-click the message item type and select Delete. A confirmation message is displayed.
- Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
