The following configuration settings are displayed for a custom on-ramp.

Setting

Description

On-Ramp Type

The type of on-ramp, determined by how the on-ramp was created.

This field is read-only.

Communication Mode

The type of communication handled by the on-ramp.

  • Receive Message- The on-ramp handles one-way communication, from the external system into OnBase.

  • Receive and Send Message- The on-ramp handles two-way communication between the external system and OnBase.

This field is read-only.

Non-XML Message Item Type

Note:

This field is only displayed for non-XML on-ramps.

The message item type used for incoming non-XML messages.

This field can be modified until the repository is saved for the first time after creating the on-ramp. After the repository is saved, the field is read-only.

Message Normalization Script

Note:

This field is only displayed for non-XML on-ramps.

The Unity Script used to convert non-XML messages into XML messages.

This field can be modified until the repository is saved for the first time after creating the on-ramp. After the repository is saved, the field is read-only.

Message Item Type

The message item type used for incoming messages. For non-XML custom on-ramps, this is the target message item type for messages that have been converted to XML. Use the drop-down list to select the message item type.

Life Cycle

Note:

This field is only displayed for on-ramps handling one-way communication (receive message).

The Workflow life cycle that will processes message items received through this on-ramp. Use the drop-down list to select the life cycle.

System Event

Note:

This field is only displayed for on-ramps handling two-way communication (receive and send message).

The Workflow system event that will process message items received through this on-ramp.

This field is read-only.

Support Message Properties

If needed, you can select this option to save header information from incoming messages to the Workflow property bag. This information can then be used for other Workflow functions, such as setting Workflow properties from the message header values.
