When you create an on-ramp for two-way communication, a system event is automatically created to handle communication from that on-ramp. This ensures that the system event has a direct relationship with the on-ramp, and typically the system event itself requires no further configuration. However, if needed, you can add or remove on-ramps on a system event.

When configuring a system event for Workflow Messaging, note the following considerations:

  • Each system event must be configured with at least one on-ramp.

  • You cannot add an on-ramp to more than one system event.

  • You can add more than one on-ramp to a system event. This is not a typical use case.

To configure a Workflow Messaging system event:

  1. Expand the list of available system events by clicking the arrow next to the System Events node in the Workflow tab of the Repositories pane.
  2. Select the system event you want to edit. Settings for the system event are displayed in the Properties pane.
  3. Click the On-Ramp tab in the Properties pane. This tab lists the on-ramps associated with the system event.
  4. To add an on-ramp:
    1. Click Add. The On-Ramp dialog box is displayed. This dialog box lists the available on-ramps
    2. Select the check box next to the on-ramp you want to add to the system event, and click OK.
  5. To remove an on-ramp, select the on-ramp and click Remove.
