The following inbound operations are available:

Category

Inbound Operation

Description

AutoFill

Get

Updates data in an external AutoFill Keyword Set, and sends updates to the line-of-business application. When configuring this operation, only external AutoFill Keyword Sets configured for use with the Enterprise Integration Server available.

For information on configuring external AutoFill Keyword Sets for use with the Enterprise Integration Server, see External AutoFill Keyword Set Configuration.

Note:

For more information on AutoFill Keyword Set configuration, see the AutoFill Keyword Sets documentation.

Document

OnDocChanged

When document data (for example, Keyword Values) in OnBase changes, updates are sent directly to the line-of-business application.

You can also use this operation to send an XML rendition of a document to the line-of-business application. See Sending an XML Rendition for more information.

When using this operation:

  • Only Document Types configured for use with inbound operations are available. For more information, see Document Type Configuration.

  • Document change information is logged to a separate file. For more information, see Document Change Information.

  • The UnityForm | OnUnityFormChanged operation should not be configured for the same Document Type as this operation.

KeywordDataset

Get

Updates data in an external Keyword Data Set, and sends updates to the line-of-business application. When configuring this operation, only external Keyword Data Sets configured for use with the Enterprise Integration Server available.

For information on configuring external Keyword Data Sets for use with the Enterprise Integration Server, see External Keyword Data Set Configuration.

Note:

For more information on Keyword Data Set configuration, see the System Administration documentation.

MessageBroker

OnMessageReceived

Subscribes to a Message Broker message type in order to retrieve messages. This operation generates a two-way binding to receive the message, then send a reply. Each retrieved message comes into an orchestration via the receive part of the binding, and the related line of business response message is then sent to OnBase through the send part of the binding.

ScanQueue

When a batch in a scan queue in OnBase moves into a particular status, a notification message is sent directly to the line-of-business application.

When using this operation:

  • The scan queue must be configured for use with the Enterprise Integration Server. For more information on configuring scan queues, see the Document Imaging documentation.

  • You can use the Utilities | BatchScanning outbound operation to mark a batch of documents as processed.

  • You must be licensed for Document Imaging.

UnityForm

OnUnityFormChanged

When document data (for example, Keyword Values) in a Unity Form changes, updates are sent directly to the line-of-business application.

When using this operation:

  • The Document | OnDocChanged operation should not be configured for the same Document Type as this operation.

  • Only Document Types configured for use with inbound operations are available. For more information, see Document Type Configuration.

  • Document change information is logged to a separate file. For more information, see Document Change Information.

  • Any Document Types configured for use with this operation should only contain Unity Forms. Document Types should not contain documents of other file formats.

  • A separate application should be configured for each Unity Form type when multiple Unity Form types have been published under one Document Type.

  • You must be licensed for Unity Forms.
