To create and configure the logical ports that will be used in an outbound operation:
- Right-click the left instance of Port Surface and select New Configured Port.
- The Port Configuration Wizard is displayed.
- Click Next.
- On the Port Properties screen, type a name for the port. For example, InFromLOBPort.
- Click Next.
- On the Select a Port Type screen, type a name for the port type in the Port Type Name field. For example, InFromLOBPortType.
- Ensure that One-Way is selected.
- Click Next.
- On the Port Binding screen, click Next.
- Click Finish.

The port you created is displayed:
- Right-click the right instance of Port Surface and select New Configured Port.

- Click Next.
- On the Select a Port Type screen, type a name for the port type in the Port Type Name field. For example, InToHylandAdapterPortType.
- Select Request-Response.
- Click Next.
- On the Port Binding screen, select I'll be sending a request and receiving a response. from the Port direction of communication drop-down list.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.

- On the Port Binding screen, select I'll always be sending messages on this port. from the Port direction of communication drop-down list.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
