The BizTalk Mapper is used to map line-of-business application schema nodes to OnBase schema nodes.

Note:

See Schemas for information on OnBase schema nodes.

The BizTalk Mapper resembles the following:

The line-of-business application's schema is displayed in the left pane. The OnBase schema is displayed in the right pane.

To map line-of-business application schema nodes to OnBase schema nodes:

  1. Expand each schema, so that your screen resembles the following:
  2. Map nodes from the source schema to nodes in the destination schema, as shown below:
Map nodes at their lowest level. For example, map the Keyword Types (child field elements) in a Multi-Instance Keyword Type Group (child record) to each other. Do not map the Multi-Instance Keyword Type Group (child record) to another Multi-Instance Keyword Type Group (child record).
When you map Standalone Keyword Types, map to the array:string element, which is the child field element.
  3. Repeat the above step until all values have been mapped.
    Note:

The BizTalk Mapper includes functoids, which can be used to perform a variety of operations on data including character stripping or data conversion. However, use of functoids is outside the scope of this documentation. For more information on the functoids available for use in the BizTalk Mapper, see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee267898(BTS.10).aspx.

  4. Save and close the BizTalk Mapper.
