The parent node of the XML message delivered to the external application by the Event Relay Server is the <notification> node. This node contains all of the other nodes in the XML message. The <notification> node also contains the following attributes:

This is either eventdata or ping.

  • eventdata: Contains information about a document.

  • ping: Sent to test for a response from URLs that were not reachable at the last polling interval.

time

The system date/time stamp of the message.

id

The OnBase document handle of the message. This is 0 for messages of the ping type.
