The LOCATIONS element contains all location configuration information for the Express Scanning client. In Express Scanning, each workstation, or a group of workstations, can be assigned to a location to control the availability of Document Type buttons to different users.
For example, you might create Document Type buttons for AP documents and HR documents in your master configuration file. But, you do not want the Document Type buttons for the HR documents to be available to the AP personnel and vice versa. You can create an AP location and an HR location, and make only the applicable Document Type buttons available to each location.
The LOCATIONS element is made up of one or more LOCATION sub-elements. Each workstation is assigned to a location via its local configuration file or via a command line switch.
