The -LOCALPATH command line switch is used to set the location of the Express Scanning local configuration file. When the Express Scanning client is launched with this switch, the client either creates or uses the local configuration file in the location indicated by the -LOCALPATH switch.

Note:

The default location for the local configuration file is the workstation's C:\ProgramData\ExpressScan folder. For more information, see The Local Configuration File.

When setting the -LOCALPATH command line switch to a location, you can use the variable %username% to designate the Windows user name of the current user. For example, -LOCALPATH = "C:\users\%username%\documents" might set the location to C:\users\John Adams\documents" if a Windows user named John Adams was using Express Scanning on a workstation in a remote office.
