User-entered alphanumeric Keyword Values are truncated when the Keyword Values users enter exceed the maximum configured length for the associated Keyword Type.

When documents are uploaded, alphanumeric Keyword Values are truncated to the maximum allowable number of characters. To prevent Keyword Values from being truncated, it is recommended that you configure a maximum allowable number of characters for the Keyword Value Input dialog box using the maxchars setting in the configuration file.

For more information, see The KEYWORD Sub-Element.

For non-alphanumeric Keyword Types, such as Numeric 9, Numeric 20, Date, and Date & Time, when a user attempts to upload a document associated with Keyword Value data that does not meet the format of the Keyword Type, an error message is displayed and the Keyword Value is rejected.
