CAUTION:

Unlike some other OnBase scanning modules, Express Scanning cannot be used to scan multiple documents at once; only one document can be scanned at a time. If multiple pages are scanned at once, one document consisting of all scanned pages is created.

To scan a document:

  1. A message is displayed in the Document Viewer asking you to load the document into the scanner. Load the paper document you are scanning into the scanner.
    Note:

Depending on your configuration, the scanner's user interface may be displayed. See your scanner's documentation for more information on the options available in this dialog box.

  2. The document is scanned. The image is displayed in the Document Viewer and the Document Type Toolbar is replaced by the Document Complete toolbar.
  3. Review the document displayed in the Document Viewer to ensure that it is correct and that it meets your quality standards.
  4. Click Upload to upload the document to OnBase, click Scan More Pages to scan additional pages to the currently displayed document, or click Delete to discard the document currently displayed in the Document Viewer. If you choose to delete the document, you are prompted to confirm this action.
  5. Depending on your configuration, a post-scan message may be displayed after you select the Upload button.
    Note:

The post-scan message's title bar and text are configurable for each Document Type button.
