To configure a portal in the External Access Client, the following steps are required:
- Create the necessary user groups. See Portal User Groups for more information.
- Give the user groups rights to view StatusView layouts. See StatusView Rights for more information.
- Create password policies for additional security. See Password Policies for more information.
- Access the portal and complete Portal Setup in the External Access Client. See Portal Setup for more information.
- Create a life cycle in OnBase Studio for approving external users. See Creating a Life Cycle for External User Requests for more information.
Several additional optional components can be configured in the portal itself by an administrative user after it is set up. See Portal Administration for more information.
