To configure the password reset emails and the length of the reset link expiration period, follow these steps:

  1. Before configuring templates for password reset emails, you must configure Email Notifications in the Configuration module. For more information, see the System Administration module reference guide.
  2. Go to the Messaging Options tab in Portal Settings.
  3. In the Email Reset Templates section, select the desired email templates from the drop-downs.
    Note:

    Templates must be specified for all three templates in order for the email password reset functionality to operate correctly.

  4. In the Password Reset Expiration section, enter the desired number of minutes for a password reset link to remain valid.
    Note:

    This field only accepts numeric entries.

  5. Click Save to apply changes.
