All communication for FHIR is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS). This requires X.509 digital certificates to authenticate requests. Mutual authentication of certificates between the external system and the OnBase system is required.
TLS is configured using Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS). For more information on configuring IIS, see the documentation provided by Microsoft.
