To configure resources and operations for an endpoint:

  1. In the Configuration module, select Medical | FHIR | Endpoints. The FHIR Endpoints dialog box is displayed.
  2. Select an endpoint and click Resources. The [Endpoint Name] Resources dialog box is displayed.

    This dialog box lists the available FHIR resources for the endpoint:

    • Binary- The content of a document.

    • DocumentReference- The metadata used to reference and describe a document.

  3. To disable or enable a resource, do the following:
    1. Select the resource and click Settings. The Settings dialog box is displayed.
    2. Select an option for the Availability setting to disable or enable the resource.
    3. Click Save.
  4. To configure the operation settings and mappings for a resource, select the resource and click Operations. The [Endpoint Name] - [Resource Name] Operations dialog box is displayed.
    Note:

    You can configure both the Binary resource and the Document Reference resource. The following images illustrate the Document Reference resource as an example.

  5. To configure mappings for an operation, do the following:
    1. Select the operation and click Mappings. The [Endpoint Name] - [Resource Name] - [Operation Name] Mappings dialog box is displayed.

      This dialog box displays the mapping templates created for the FHIR resource that you are currently configuring (binary or DocumentReference). For more information on configuring mapping templates, see Mapping Templates.

    2. In the Available list, select the mapping template to be assigned to the operation and click Add. The mapping template is moved to the Selected list.
      To unassign a mapping template, select it in the Selected list and click Remove.
    3. Click Close.
  6. To enable or disable an operation and configure any other operation settings, select an operation and click Settings. The Settings dialog box is displayed.
  7. Configure the settings on each tab of the Settings dialog box. Depending on the FHIR resource and operation you are configuring, some tabs are not available. See the following sections for details on the settings on each tab:
  8. When you are done configuring the operation settings in the Settings dialog box, click OK.
  9. Click Close.
