To configure a mapping template:

  1. In the Configuration module, select Medical | FHIR | Mapping Templates. The FHIR Mapping Template Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To create a new mapping template, enter a name for the new mapping template in the field below the list and click Create.

    • To modify an existing mapping template, select it and click Settings.

    The [Mapping Template Name] Settings dialog box is displayed.

  3. Confirm or modify the name in the Template Name field.
  4. Use the Resource drop-down list to select the type of FHIR resource that the mapping template applies to. Options are:
    • Account- Used to index metadata for patient accounts.

    • Binary- The content of a document.

    • Document Reference- The metadata used to reference and describe a document.

    • Encounter- Used to index metadata for encounters.

    • Location- Used to obtain additional metadata about the user's locaiton.

    • Patient- Used to index metadata from patients.

    • Procedure- Used to index metadata for orders.

    • ServiceRequest- Used as a replacement to the Procedure resource. It is used for order-level information.

    • ValueSet- Used to query for a list of available Document Types.

  5. Click Save.
    Once a mapping template is created, you must add Keyword Type mappings to the mapping template. To add Keyword Type mappings, continue to the following section, Configuring Keyword Mappings.
