By default, Data Sets are deleted from the sharepath once they are associated with a document and the document is uploaded to OnBase. However, you may configure your Front Office Scanning allow Data Sets to be reusable; Data Sets will remain available to the Front Office Scanning workstation and their associated Data Set XML files remain in the sharepath.
Manually entered Data Sets are always deleted after they have been associated with a document that has been uploaded to OnBase.
If your solution is configured to allow Data Sets to be reusable, then you should always have a Data Set lifespan configured to ensure that the Data Set XML files associated with outdated or no-longer-needed Data Sets do not remain in the sharepath indefinitely.
