You must assign an OCR Format to the Document Type in order to instruct the OCR engine how to process documents.

  1. From the OnBase Configuration module, click Document | Document Types.
  2. Select the Document Type to be configured and click Settings . The <Document Type Name> Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  3. Using the OCR Format drop-down, select the OCR format that the Document Type should use.
    Tip:

    If no custom OCR formats have been created, select one of the default formats. See Default OCR Formats for more information.

  4. Click Save.
