Image documents can be configured to launch the OCR engine after the commit process. Follow these steps to set Document Imaging options:
- In the Configuration module, select the Import | Scan Queues from the menu bar .
- In the Scan Queue Configuration dialog box, highlight the processing format name and click Process Options.
-
In the Assign Processing Options for: [queue name] dialog box, select the OCR
Queue option under the Batch Processing tab. The following option is also available:
Respect Lines per Page: When this option is checked, the OCR engine will create OCR pages that correspond to the original text in the document. The OCR page will fit into the amount of lines specified for the Document Type.
-
Click Save & Close when finished.
Note:
If scanning pages printed in landscape orientation, the Scan Format Document Setup must be configured to rotate the pages 90 degrees so they are stored legibly in OnBase. Rotating the documents while indexing only applies to the way the pages are displayed in the viewer; it does not prepare them for the OCR process.
