A code page is a coded character set. For example, Windows ANSI (American National Standards Institute) is the Microsoft collective name for all Windows code pages. Select the appropriate code page to be used during the character recognition process.

The Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese options are only available if you are licensed for Asian Language OCR.
Note:
When running OCR processes against a Unicode database, your configured code page is automatically converted to use a Unicode (UTF-8) code page.
