In order for the full-text search field to be displayed to users in the OnBase clients, the Full-Text Search privilege must be enabled for the User Groups that need full-text search functionality. If this privilege is not selected for the User Group a logged-in user belongs to, the full-text search field is not displayed for that user.

Note:

Full-Text Search respects the OnBase Document Type permissions of the user logged in.

To enable the full-text search privilege for a User Group:

  1. Launch the OnBase Configuration module.
  2. Select User Groups & Rights from the Users menu. The User Groups & Rights dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select the User Group to enable search rights for from the left User Group Name list.
  4. Click the Privileges button.

The Assigning User Group Privileges dialog box is displayed.

  5. Select Full-Text Search under the Client Based Products options.
  6. Click Save in the Assigning User Group Privileges dialog box.
    Tip:

For complete details on assigning rights and privileges to User Groups, see the System Administration module reference guide.
