The Catalogs tab displays the Document Types available to Full-Text Search, the full-text status of each Document Type, and configuration information for the associated full-text catalogs.
Full-Text Search catalogs are created for activated Document Types, which contain the documents to be indexed and searched. A separate catalog is created for each Document Type that is configured to useFull-Text Search, which increases the overall performance of the system.
The Catalogs tab is divided into the following columns:

Document Type |
The name of the Document Type. Tip:
Filter the list of Document Types displayed by selecting the Document Type Group from the drop-down list below the list of Document Types. |
Indexed |
A green checkmark means the catalog has been configured for indexing and is available to Full-Text Search. A red X means the catalog has not been configured for indexing and is unavailable to Full-Text Search. |
Active |
If the check box is selected, the catalog is active for that Document Type and is available for indexing by Full-Text Search. If it is not selected, the catalog is either inactive and unavailable for indexing, or it has not been configured yet. |
Catalog Path |
The full path to the full-text catalog for the Document Type. If this column is empty then no catalog has been configured for that Document Type. |
PDF as Image |
If the check box is selected, PDF documents for that Document Type are processed as images for indexing purposes. If it is not selected, PDF documents are processed by attempting to extract the text layer from the document. |
Delete |
This check box is only used to select catalogs for deletion. |
Exclude File Types |
This drop-down list allows you to select the file types to exclude from full-text indexing for each catalog. Documents with the selected file types in OnBase are not indexed into the catalog. |
The list of catalogs can be exported to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet by clicking the Export to Excel button.
