To create a new connection security policy for HL7:

  1. From the OnBaseConfig tool, select Medical | HL7 | Connection Security Policy. The HL7 Connection Security Policies dialog box is displayed.
  2. Type a name for the HL7 connection security policy in the field provided.
  3. Click Create. The New Policy Settings dialog box is displayed.
  4. Type a name for the switch in the Switch Name field. This value in the Switch Name field is added to the -HL7POLICY switch.
  5. Type a certificate thumbprint in the Certificate Thumbprint field. The thumbprint must be 40 characters.
  6. In the Policy Options section, select from the following options:
    • Ignore Certificate Revocation: Select this option to ignore requests for revocation of the certificate.
    • Minimum TLS Version: Select a TLS version to be the minimum version used for connection security. Options include TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2.
  7. Click Save.

    You can modify the connection information by selecting an existing Connection Security Policy, and selecting theSettings button.
