HL7 messages sent from OnBase can contain DocPop URLs to the trigger document in OnBase. OnBase sends DocPop URLs in the HL7 field that is mapped to the DocPop URL template, also called the Document Display URL.

To configure a Document Display URL:

  1. Select Utils | Document Display URLs. The Document Display URLs dialog box is displayed.
  2. Enter a name and click Create. The Document Display URL Options dialog box is displayed.
  3. Type the appropriate URL for the Pop integration in the URL field. For example, if you're using DocPop, you'd type the following: http://YourServer/AppNet/DocPop/DocPop.aspx.
Query string parameters can also be appended. For example, http://YourServer/AppNet/DocPop/DocPop.aspx?clienttype=HTML tells DocPop to use the HTML Web Client. See the DocPop documentation for further information about configuring DocPop.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Note the ID number of the URL you configured. It is displayed in the upper-right corner of the Document Display URLs dialog box when the URL is selected. This number is used to map an HL7 field to the URL.
  6. Access the HL7 Field Settings dialog box for the field being mapped to a DocPop URL.
  7. Locate the Default Value section.
  8. In the User-Defined field, type $$DOCPOP###, where ### is the ID number of the URL you configured.
  9. Click Save. When OnBase sends a message that includes this field, the field will contain a link to display the document in DocPop.
    Note:

DocPop URLs can also be sent by OnBase Workflow using the Send HL7 Message action. For more information, see Sending HL7 Messages Using OnBase Workflow.
