When the HL7 Sender generates messages using blank Keyword Values, the separator characters for the components and subcomponents mapped to those keywords remain in the message. If needed, you can configure the HL7 Sender to trim the unnecessary separators from the message, and only include separators for components and subcomponents which have a value. This can be useful for integrating with third-party systems which only expect to see field separators.
To trim unnecessary separator characters from outbound messages:
