If you need a message template that is not included by default, you can create a new template.

To create a new template:

  1. Select Medical | HL7 | Message Template. The HL7 Message Template Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  2. Type a name in the field provided and click Create.
  3. Click Settings. The HL7 Message Settings dialog box is displayed.
  4. Configure the settings as described under Modifying Message Template Settings.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Select the new template and click Segments.
  7. Add the necessary segments to the template.

    • Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to arrange the segments in the correct order.

    • To create a new segment, see Creating a New Segment.

  8. Click Close when finished.
