Appointments can be associated with their scheduled locations. This association is useful, because the OnBase Patient Window allows users to search for patients based on appointment location.
For location data to be available in the OnBase Patient Window, the following requirements must be met:

The Scheduling - Location chart data field must be mapped to the HL7 field where the location code is expected.

Each appointment location must have a description configured in OnBase Configuration, as described in the following procedure.
To create and configure appointment locations:

In OnBase Configuration, select Medical | HL7 | Coded Entries | Location. The Location Code Configuration dialog box is displayed.

Click Create. The Settings dialog box is displayed.
