To prevent truncation, the Centricity Import message action creates line breaks in the imported document based on the Document Type's Characters Per Line setting. If the Characters Per Line value lands in the middle of a word, OnBase will break the line at the next space. If you notice that lines are exceeding the intended length, reduce the Characters Per Line to a smaller value than the intended maximum. For more information about the Characters Per Line setting, see the Configuration module help files.

  1. From OnBase Configuration, select Document | Document Types.
  2. Select the Document Type for Centricity documents.
  3. Click View/Print.
  4. In the Characters Per Line field, type the number of characters to allow per line.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click Close.
    Note:

Other message actions also can word wrap based on the Characters Per Line setting, if they have the Wrap long text lines option applied. However, these message actions insert line breaks before the word in which the Characters Per Line value lands, rather than after. For more information, see Wrapping Long Text Lines.
