The following import processes can track document revision dates, allowing the HL7 Listener to determine whether an incoming revision is newer or older than the existing revision:
This feature is useful in the event a sending application falls out of sync and is unaware of a newer revision in OnBase. When any of these import processes receives a document, it stores the value in the $$DOCREVDATE field as the document revision date. The HL7 Listener then uses this date to determine whether an incoming revision is newer or older than the existing revision.
If the incoming revision is newer, then the Listener adds it as a revision to the existing document. If the incoming revision is the same age or older than the existing revision, then the Listener archives the incoming revision to a backup Document Type configured in HL7 Settings.
