For a document to be re-indexed to another Document Type, the following must be true:

• The import process must use one of the following message actions:

  • Advanced Document Import

  • Document Update Processor

  • External Transcription and Deficiency Processing

• The message that creates the original revision of the document must provide a value in the $$DOCEXTERNALID field.

• Messages that create subsequent revisions must provide the same $$DOCEXTERNALID value as the original message.

• Both the source and target Document Types must be revisable.

• Both the source and target Document Types must be mapped to the import process.
