The following import processes support the use of unique Keyword Types for determining whether a document is new or a revision of an existing document.

If the Document Type has one or more unique Keyword Types configured, then only these Keyword Types are checked for creating revisions. If these import processes import a document with the same values for the unique Keyword Types but different values for non-unique Keyword Types, then the document is imported as a revision and the new non-unique values replace the old non-unique values.

Note:

The External Transcription and Deficiency Processor determines a document's uniqueness using the value mapped to the Dictation Defic. - External Doc ID chart data field. If OnBase receives a message where this value matches the Dictation Defic. - External Doc ID on an existing document, the document is revised, and any non-matching Keyword Values are updated.

Note:

The Centricity Import process uses only the Keyword Type mapped to the TXA.12 field to determine whether a document already exists in OnBase. Existing values for other Keyword Types are updated with new values from the new message.
