The message template for the Document Update Processor can be configured with certain predefined default values. Requirements are described in the following table.

The $$DOCNUMBER predefined value must be mapped to the HL7 field that provides the OnBase document handle. |

$$DOCTYPE |
To support Document Type re-indexing, the $$DOCTYPE predefined value must be mapped to the HL7 field that provides the Document Type identifier. If the $$DOCTYPE value is not mapped, Document Types will not be changed. |

$$DOCEXTERNALID |
If Re-Index Document is enabled, and the $$DOCEXTERNALID predefined value is mapped to an HL7 field, then the Document Update Processor can use that value to make a revision of the document with the updated external ID. See Revising Based on External Document ID for more information. |

$$DOCEXTERNALSYSTEM |
Acts as an assigning authority for a $$DOCEXTERNALID value. It can only be mapped to the same field as $$DOCEXTERNALID. |
