If a document fails to be created, it may be because the temporary parse path specified in the Workstation Options does not exist. Use the following steps to identify and resolve the issue of an empty temporary parse path.

  1. Identify the Windows user account running the HL7 Listener service.
  2. Identify OnBase 's temporary parse path.
    1. In the OnBase Client, select User | Workstation Options.
    2. Ensure the Temporary Parse Path on the Startup tab has a value.
    3. Take note of the Temporary Parse Path value. You will navigate to this location when you log on as the HL7 service user account in the next steps.
  3. Log on to the HL7 service workstation as the user that runs the service.
  4. Navigate to the temporary parse path you identified in step 2 to ensure it exists.
  5. If the specified path does not exist, then change the Temporary Parse Path value in OnBase to a location that does exist. Ensure the user account running the HL7 service has the Modify NTFS permission to the location:
